I have an OpEd in the Washington Post on March 25, 2021, co-authored with Dr. Tom K. Wong and Jesus Rojas Venzor, that analyzes trends in the encounters with Border Patrol at the US’s southern border. We look at seasonal trends and a pandemic-associated pause to add nuance to the discourse around “surging” border crossing early in the Biden administration.

New art on my wall: Jean Cocteau prints (1923)

Quite thrilled with my latest art acquisition back from the framer—two 1923 prints by Jean Cocteau. These were gifted to his friend and patron Georges Prade, an interwar French art-world figure who served as a critic and editor of the Blue Review (along with being Director of Mumm Champagne, a banker, and Vice-President of the Municipal Council of Paris).
